Here are some of our recent Park/Flats counts FYI. The 17 Jan counts are the result mainly of the coordinated team effort (though there are a few additional records added in). The subsequent figures are some of my highlights.

Lapwing: 3 east over Jubilee Pond
Common Snipe: 1 in boggy part of SSSI
Skylark: 19 (including 4 singing birds)
Meadow Pipit: 13
Fieldfare: 11 (pitches south of BP garage)
Redwing: 66 (pitches south of BP garage)
Goldfinch: 7 by Angel Pond
Reed Bunting: 5 (inc. 2 males) in SSSI
